Antonia has over fifteen years experience working in the field of couture and is a talented seamstress as well as being an excellent designer.  However, when she was fourteen, Antonia was dismissed from her sewing class at The Cheltenham Ladies’ College and told that she lacked any skill in needlework. Encouraged by her mother and grandmother to persevere, Antonia learnt to sew and by the time she reached Bristol University where she read Italian and History of Art, she was regularly taking commissions from fellow students.

After graduation, Antonia secured a job working for Catherine Walker at The Chelsea Design Company. During this period, she attended evening classes at the London College of Fashion to complement the knowledge that she acquired through her job.  Antonia then moved to work for Liza Bruce Limited but was made redundant when the company went into liquidation.  With £204.00 in her bank account, a domestic sewing machine on her bedside table and one private client, Antonia decided to set up on her own from her bedroom.

Today Antonia runs her company from a shop on London’s Fulham Road. Her success is due largely to client recommendation and a repeat business rate of over 70%.
